I’ve dreamed of travel for as long as I can remember. Whether it was the hope of adventure in faraway lands found in the books I read as a child, or the times my jet-setting grandparents would return from one of their many international voyages with some exotic souvenir and story, I have always been captivated by the idea of travel. I spent most of my days doodling in the margins of my journal, head forever in the clouds, lost in daydreams about exotic elsewheres.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2014 that I was able to make those daydreams a reality. For my traveler’s debut I spent six weeks in Costa Rica, studying Spanish and salsa dancing and the proper way to take a shot of tequila. I fell in love with the country almost instantly, but beyond that came the slow realization that I was falling in love with travel itself. More importantly, I realized that I loved who I was when I traveled—confident, open-minded, friendly, and every inch the daring adventurer I had always daydreamed of becoming.
I graduated college in the spring of 2016 and immediately turned to the one thing I knew I loved for my first furtive steps into adulthood. Travel is my passion. On the road is where I feel the most creative, the most inspired, and the most genuinely me I could ever be– and that’s why it’s where you’ll find me. Traveling the world, taking pictures, and writing about all my experiences along the way. Thanks for reading, and thanks for wandering with me.
